Hawaii-based singer, guitarist, songwriter, producer and composer, Jon Basebase has been recognized as a premier wedding/event entertainer since 1987. He has performed throughout Hawaii, the U.S. Mainland, and Japan for an audience of 1000 people to an intimate setting of 10, he creates the right mood for your celebration or event. As a self-taught singer and guitarist, he discovered his life-long passion at the age of 12.

Jon’s father and grandfather, also musicians, were his first musical influences. As a singer/songwriter, he is influenced by artists James Taylor, Kenny Loggins, Dan Fogelberg, Billy Joel, Elton John, Stevie Wonder, Michael Ruff, Dave Matthews, John Mayer and countless others. Earl Kulgh, Michael Hedges, Peter White and Lee Ritenour influenced his guitar playing.

Jon is currently producing, recording and collaborating with other musical artists at his studio in downtown Honolulu. He has performed at the Halekulani, Hawai’i Prince in Waikiki, Hilton Hawaiian Village, J.W. Marriott Ihilani Resort, Turtle Bay Resort, and the Marriott Ko ‘Olina Beach Club.

His single “SUDDENLY”, was one of the first songs in Hawai’i to crossover from local radio playlists to national mainstream radio. It also garnered him a Na Hoku Hanohano Award nomination for “Most Promising Artist”.
